Abstract title: Mycobacteriophage genomes and genes galore: What do they do anyway?

Absstract:

Comparative genomic analysis of mycobacteriophages reveals a high degree of genetic diversity and a multitude of genes with unknown functions. The development of recombineering methodologies for rapid and efficient genetic manipulation of phage genomes provides an approach to ask which of these genes including many with no database relatives are required for phage growth, and if so, as to what roles they play.
